Our Founder.
With 15 years of investing history and nearly 20 years of energy experience, our Founder, Cay Freihofer, started Emerald Bridge Capital in 2023 to further her "conscientious approach" to energy investing.
Emerald Bridge Capital believes in an “all-of-the-above" energy future where fossil fuels, renewables and electrification co-exist. We seek investments that IMPROVE existing energy infrastructure, supply and value chains, SUPPORT a smooth energy transition, or REDUCE the carbon intensity of energy used today.
Our Strategy.
We seek $50 - $250 million equity investment opportunities that IMPROVE existing energy infrastructure, supply and value chains, thoughtfully SUPPORT the energy transition, or REDUCE energy’s carbon intensity today.
There are critical elements of the transition: energy security, energy affordability & energy sustainability. We support each.
IMPROVE
We partner with teams & companies that improve and grow existing energy supplies and infrastructure to bring needed energy resources to the market cleanly, reliably and safely.
SUPPORT
The energy transition, while certain, will take decades. It also brings challenges. We look for investments that capitalize on addressing these challenges, supporting a smooth transition, protecting the world’s energy access, and improving energy stability. Think battery energy storage systems and globally available natural gas.
REDUCE
“Ideas” such as carbon capture, hydrogen and sustainable fuels are no longer just ideas, but real. There will be billions invested to bring these concepts to market and new ones will be found. We seek investments in proven, sustainable energy sources, and seek projects involved in the greenfield development of them.
